Andi and I have officially survived Gen Con, and are recovering nicely. I have to admit it was truly one of the most unusual experiences of my life, but it was a lot of fun, and remarkably tiring. We were able to talk to many interesting people and other incredible artists, and I spent my fair share on other artist’s prints, so while I may not own a couch, I will have decorated walls.
Andi’s gnomes created quite the epidemic. (See photo below.) Hopefully I will eventually be able to search for Gen Con gnomes on Google and find plenty of pictures of what exactly people were doing with these little guys. I received some fantastic feedback on my work, (and strange feedback as well), and left feeling very inspired. Well, the first couple of days I was very inspired, but by the end of day 3 and 4 I just really wanted to curl up in the fetal position and sleep. Now that a couple of days have passed and I’ve had some z’s and unpacked, I need to tap back into that inspiration.
I’m putting up a few pics that I grabbed from my table below, I have more but am still learning the nuances of my iPhone such as transferring photos back and forth from it to my computer. I’ll get there. Now next week is Comic Con in Chicago, and I’m hoping that will be even more fun, but there’s still some prep work to be done, so I had better go get busy.
